The host family were incredibly kind and welcoming. They greeted my daughter, who’s 23, and me with a bottle of Prosecco and chocolate. On Mother’s Day there were two chocolate muffins waiting for us, and on Wednesday we got delicious homemade rhubarb cake. We’ve had an amazing holiday, and on our last day we’re looking back on it fondly. The apartment is spacious, spotless, and fully equipped. The only possible downside is hearing the busy road from the balcony, but it didn’t bother either of us. You can set off in any direction for a drive or a hike. We walked from the house to Salvesenklamm and the higher-up Linserhof in about an hour, where the mountain views are stunning. From Hoch Imst, the gondola goes up to the Ualm, with plenty to enjoy high in the mountains. We were lucky in May to get all kinds of weather, including fresh snow on the surrounding peaks. There’s also an 8 km climb from the house up to Hahntenjoch Pass.

We stayed for one night as a family and really liked it, to the point that we didn’t want to leave. The hosts were friendly, and it was easy to get to. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and spacious, with a home-like feel. There’s a large, handy kitchen for family meals, a comfortable bed with nice linens, a big balcony, and amazing views.
