The mountain views are incredible, and there are sheep and peacocks around the property. The staff were friendly, and there were cute cats inside too. It really is in the middle of nowhere, though. I was looking for somewhere to stop on the way to Grossglokner, and this was one of the options not too far from the viewpoints.

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s family-run, and we got a warm welcome, a very clean, well-kept room, and a fantastic breakfast. It felt like true Austrian hospitality. Don’t miss the lovely peacocks and chickens.

The hostel feels like it belongs to another era, but it’s comfortable. We simply love this magical place, and the hosts are kind and fun.

The food was very good, and the owner speaks English. I also appreciated having a garage for my bike, and the place was very comfortable. The WiFi was really weak, though, and only worked in one spot in the restaurant. The peacock was very noisy too. :)

Really, really good!
