Gasthof Dietrichshorn

Breakfast is generous and varied, with cheese, cold cuts, fruit, eggs, yogurt, and homemade jams. In the evening we enjoyed a snack outdoors at sunset, and hot meals are available too. The farm is still actively run, so the fresh smell of hay drifts into the room in the morning. The Gasthof Dietrichshorn has modern, high-quality rooms at reasonable prices, set in a peaceful spot with an idyllic view. The box-spring beds were the best we’ve slept in on vacation. Bathrooms are very clean, with no mold, and rooms are cleaned daily with fresh spring water replenished. Three of the four rooms have balconies. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Sound carries between rooms, though. The thin wooden doors make the locks closing quite loud, and voices and crying babies can be heard too. If the inn is full, earplugs are a good idea. We can only give whole stars, otherwise we’d rate it 4.5. Even so, we definitely want to vacation here again.

We spent a family weekend at the Gasthof Dietrichshorn and felt delighted from the welcome right through checkout. In the new building, everything felt brand new and tastefully furnished. The XXL box-spring beds were so comfortable we slept like logs, and the bathrooms are modern, with towel warmers and hairdryers. They left free spring water in our room each day, which also had a comfortably sized flat-screen TV. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including fresh milk, fruit, homemade jam, a just-right breakfast egg, cold cuts, and yogurt. At night, the inn serves good home-style food. The Heutal valley is lovely for hiking or simply unwinding in the natural surroundings. The place is simple, cozy, modern, and welcoming. Highly recommend it. :)

I stayed at the Gasthof Dietrichshorn for three days and would gladly return. Breakfast and dinner offered plenty of variety and were more than satisfying, and the welcome was genuinely warm. My recently renovated room was in very good condition. People have praised the beds, and I completely agree.

A friendly family-run place with delicious food made fresh. It’s a great fit if you enjoy hiking and a bit of peace and quiet. We’d love to return.
