Angela was the exception to an otherwise absent or angry-looking staff. She was efficient and helpful, and spoke several languages impressively. The food was just all right, though the occasional treat helped make up for the hassles. My single room had a strong smell of old cigarette smoke as soon as I walked in. The bed was narrow and uncomfortable, with a thin mattress that sank into the frame whenever I sat or lay down. There was no fridge, air conditioning, or even a fan. With temperatures reaching 37º C, I had to leave both the window and balcony door open to sleep. The balcony was shared with the rooms on either side, and I kept being startled awake when neighbors came out for air. The floorboards looked worn and long unrepaired. There were no glasses in the bathroom or elsewhere. The tap gave very little cold water, and the shower had very little hot water. The mirror light had lost its cover, and the old towels and sheets were a bit frayed.

We had dinner and breakfast there, and enjoyed tasty local food. The room was good and had stunning views. It's a family-style hotel, with very kind staff and service. Wi-Fi is free, but only works in the lobby.

The waiting staff gave great service, and the food was well-prepared local fare. A great place to stay.

Thaur is such a cute town, and the service was both charismatic and well-mannered. Lovely place!

The hotel's garden is a beautiful spot for its pizzeria, and the food was good.
