The hotel really impressed me. It was spotless, the staff were great, and breakfast was lovely. There's also a sauna, bar, and restaurant, plus the bus stop is just a one-minute walk away, making it easy to get to Innsbruck city center. I can only wish I had the same attention to detail as this business.

I loved the place. It's charming and distinctive inside and out, with a vintage, homely style that still feels very clean. The restaurants are spacious and have plenty of good food. Staff are friendly, and it's dog-friendly too. The property has lovely mountain views, and you can stroll around the tiny village. There's some parking, and I easily found a spot behind the hotel. A wonderful place to stay!

The Italian restaurant next door was superb, so being close to it was a real plus. Breakfast was okay, though I had hoped for some scrambled eggs on the buffet. The only hot item was a soft-boiled egg, plus a carrot soup that may or may not have been hot. I booked directly with the hotel online, but I wouldn't recommend doing that. Even after spending a lot of time carefully checking in all four guests, they couldn't find our reservation when we arrived. Reception didn't seem to be staffed, so we had to look for someone in the bar. Fortunately, they had room, and I'm almost sure we were the only guests there. Our rooms were clean, though the glassware seemed questionable, but they felt dated and sparse. The decor is baroque, with lots of golden cherubim and crucifixes alongside traditional wood. It wasn't my taste, though one friend liked it. The sauna and steam rooms weren't open on the weekend. I asked in my Dutch-influenced German and was told they were closed with no way to open them. My friend asked someone else and was told they could be ready in 20 minutes, so service seems to depend on who you ask. Would I return? No. It might suit someone else, depending entirely on what they're looking for.

The hotel is lovely and clean, with beautiful mountain views, but I hated the lack of privacy on the balcony. The dividers between rooms are so low that you and your neighbors end up sitting together. I usually pay extra for a balcony and a nice view, but couldn't use mine because people were sitting too close. There's no air conditioning, and I didn't feel I could open the windows because a neighbor might be able to get into my room over those low dividers. The hotel really needs to improve the balconies by putting in taller dividers.

The room was neat and tidy, and although the hotel looks a little eccentric, it has the overall feel of a premium stay. The spa was far too small for all the guests, with room for at most 15 people to be comfortable. We came with an organized group trip, about 80 people on a bus, and had been promised use of the spa. It wasn't remotely ready for us: the tubs were empty, rooms were cold, and nobody gave clear instructions. A giant dog statue even blocked the entrance, and we had to move it ourselves. The restaurant was disappointing because of the service, not the enjoyable food. It took ages to bring us an overpriced, cheap beer, and at breakfast they didn't replenish anything, so once an item was gone, that was it. Our room and several others had no heat. It felt like a fridge, with the temperature outside around -5C. When we asked at reception, they said they knew about it and would look into it, but we spent the whole night with no fix. One of our rooms was also cancelled out of nowhere. After all that, I don't think this hotel deserves four stars, or maybe even three.
