The hostess shared some really useful tips, and the lake is an easy 15-minute walk away. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, so this was a first-class stay and just the right choice for us. We’d love to return, so here are five stars plus five imaginary ones. And please keep cuddling the Prussian cat!

We felt at home in the clean, well-kept apartment and were absolutely thrilled with our Christmas and New Year stay at Haus Sonnenschein. The hostess welcomed us warmly on arrival and showed us around. The rooms were cozy, and there was Wi-Fi, a TV, extra heating, and everything needed for a comfortable visit. It’s on a hillside at the edge of Thiersee, easy to reach by car, with parking available. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance, and the location works well for longer hikes. The Wilder Kaiser ski area is about a 20 to 30 minute drive away. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
