Hotel Restaurant Holzinger

The breakfast was very good, and the room was clean, warm, and comfortable. For what I paid, I got much more than expected. The chef deserves a mention: I've never had pumpkin soup this good, and the pumpkin gnocchi were delicious too. There's a wide selection of homemade food made with local ingredients at the restaurant. I'll definitely be back 🥰

The Wiener Schnitzel was the best, and the kitchen was amazing. It's a lovely, very clean place with really kind people. I recommend it, they deserve 5 stars.

We stayed one night and had a top experience. The food was amazing, staff were friendly, and prices were good. Definitely recommend.

Dinner took forever. I waited more than half an hour just for someone to ask what I wanted, then waited for the food, nearly two hours altogether for one dish and a drink. The drink didn't even arrive first, and the man on the night shift wasn't very friendly to me. I stayed and waited because I had no car, the hotel is in a small town outside Vienna with little around, and places close early, especially on weekdays. It's mostly a residential area with the hotel there. The room was very large and clean, breakfast had wonderful organic products, and the food was good. Breakfast staff were friendly. There's a train stop just around the corner and a snack machine in the lobby. But the place isn't suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility difficulties: there are stairs everywhere and no elevator. The bed was tucked under a very low ceiling; judging by the scratches, I wasn't the only one at risk of hitting my head when standing up. There were insects in the room on two of my three days. On the first day I found two stink beetles, then on the second there was a huge spider right on my pillow. I'm a bit afraid of spiders, and although I don't like killing insects, there wasn't even a glass to catch them and put them outside. I feel bad about it now, but I couldn't sleep with that thing there. Afterwards I was still worried there might be more in the room, and it took me a long time to fall asleep.
