I’ve stayed with Barbara and Werner for the last few years, and they’ve never disappointed me. They’re lovely people, and their house has a great atmosphere. Everything is clean and spacious, and it’s good value for money. It’s a family-style place with a shared TV room and balcony, so you’ll feel more at home if you’re at least a little sociable. The lift is less than a 10-minute walk away, a nice restaurant is 10 minutes away, and shopping options are about a 20-minute walk. One downside is that the nearby bakery has closed. The closest place to get fresh buns now is the fuel station, where they cost a bit more. I can only recommend staying here.

Barbara and Werner were gracious hosts and helped me so much with suggestions for places to visit and eat. They’ve traveled extensively around the world, and Werner even knew more about travel in the USA than I did, LOL. My room was clean and comfy, with a kitchenette upstairs that I could relax in and share with my next-door neighbor. The downstairs living room was a nice place to mingle with other guests. I loved being able to walk to the beach and have breakfast on my patio with such a lovely view. Ferienhaus Annenheim is centrally located, and staying there made my European experience even better. Disaster. The old lady tried to get extra money from us at the end, saying we had to pay for a damaged bed leg. It was some cheap sponge thing, like an amateur prank. In 30 years of traveling, I’ve never had anything like this happen. The rooms were little, and there was no TV in them in 2019. The cutlery was plastic from a china shop. The place was like someone had rented out junk and made apartments from it, although the other two were new. The hosts were unpleasant. The listing said three people, but it only felt suitable for one and a half. Electricity was charged extra, 20 € for the room lights.
