We had a lovely two-night stay. Breakfast came with a view of the lake, which we could also see from our window. Our room was clean and comfortable, and although the bathroom was small, it felt modern and comfortable too. The owner was very friendly. There was parking in front, and the place had more of a B&B feel than a hotel.
The setting is nice, but the stay was a real disappointment for me. The room wasn't clean, the Wi-Fi didn't work, and they charged extra for eggs at breakfast. At 7:30 in the morning they came into the room and woke us, even though checkout wasn't until 10. There were several other unfriendly incidents. The owner or manager came across as rude and only interested in money. I've stayed in many places, but this shocked me. I'd choose somewhere else.
Alexandra Koch was helpful with everything, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good too. The train station and an ATM are both about a five-minute walk away. There's a nearby campsite with a good restaurant, and the menu prices aren't high.
The staff can escalate things very quickly.
The lawn and jetty were lovely places to relax, right by the beautifully situated Villa Koch on Lake Ossiach. Our room, the holiday apartment and the whole villa were clean and well cared for. Mrs. Koch did all she could to make us comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and are looking forward to visiting again.
