Christian knows the surrounding mountains inside out and made us feel very welcome. We also had a great dinner. Gasthof Hohe Burg is a lovely place to stay.

The food was a real highlight: both the range and the flavors were wonderful. With half board, we got a generous breakfast each morning and a different four-course dinner every evening. Chef Christian clearly puts a lot of care and skill into what he cooks. This was our second hiking holiday at Gasthof Hohe Burg in Trins, and the welcome and service were just as friendly as before. Our Alpine room was lovely, with wood paneling, lots of storage, a small fridge, a comfortable bed, and a balcony with chairs. The updated bathroom looked great too, with wood details and a rain shower. There are plenty of hikes in the mountains around the inn, with impressive views along the way. We’d be happy to return.

The setting is beautiful, and the panorama is amazing. It’s a quiet, peaceful spot, though you can reach everything within a five-minute drive. Our apartment was modern, well equipped, clean, and nicely finished. The staff were kind and polite.

The steaks were absolutely fantastic. The apartment is new and very attractive, with comfortable mattresses and a great shower. The boss is so friendly, and the rest of the staff are just as welcoming.
