Hotel Kohlpeter

A decent, nice hotel with spotless, spacious rooms and bathrooms. It’s outside the city center, but I’d strongly recommend walking along the creek toward Central Station, past the city library and a supermarket. Give the restaurant a try too.

This lovely family owned hotel has a traditional restaurant that’s very popular with locals, so you need a reservation. Our room had a balcony with a view of the mountains, comfortable beds, and a lovely modern bathroom.

The breakfast lady was awesome. She put out a great spread every day, carefully cut and beautifully presented, and quickly cleared dishes and set the tables again so there was always space. There was a great selection for everyone, and dietary restrictions were respected. We stayed for four days and got excellent customer service each day. The front desk helped with what we asked for, even calling the tourist office for us. I’d stay again. Thank you Hotel Kohlpeter!

The hotel is close to the city, getting around is easy, and parking is free. We also ate at the family-run restaurant downstairs, where the local dishes were really good. Our room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was excellent. The breakfast attendant was especially attentive and sincere. Everyone was warm, genuine, and cheerful. Lady Sandra, the director at reception, and Mr. Mazen were particularly caring and helpful. We had two wonderful nights. I’d definitely recommend it for a family stay.
