Hotel Garconete

We were happy with our stay, and the staff all seemed sincere and keen to make it a good experience. Isabelle, the owner, was very friendly when we met her after coming back, and checked that we were comfortable. I think we may have been the only guests that day. Two staff members helped us check in because the owner had been delayed. We arrived to a locked blue gate and locked front entrance, with nobody visible. It took us a while to find the hotel name on the wall on the other side. After knocking for quite some time, we were close to driving away, thinking the hotel had moved, when a staff member appeared, confirmed we were in the right place, and opened the gate for our car. There are only a few parking spots at the front, perhaps four or five. The rooms were spacious enough to leave our luggage open with plenty of room to walk, and clean to a good standard. Amenities were basic: a hairdryer and hair and body shampoo, with a kettle available on request. There were no tissues or vanity mirror. The TV had YouTube. The same key worked for our room and the hotel entrances and gates, including the car park. We used the bedside socket to boil water. My friend liked the cozy, homey feel. The hotel is within walking distance of Mozart's residence and Mirabella Palace & Garden. The owner and staff left close to midnight. Breakfast was simple, with bread, butter, jam, ham, cheese, yoghurt and cereal or muesli. The kitchen staff made scrambled eggs when we asked. The parking is limited, and it was a quiet town. 😜
