We keep wanting to return to Hinteranger. This was our third winter there, and we came back to Tux about a month ago. The Schösser family made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, with flowers, local maps and information, bus timetables, and even a Russian magazine. Dear Schösser family, thank you for the warm welcome, the wonderful extra Saturday this winter, and all your support when my husband had his accident last year. The apartments are comfortable, warm, and clean, with sensible layouts and pleasant balcony views. They match the descriptions, drawings, and photos on the Hinteranger website. The kitchen has modern appliances and all the utensils needed to cook for ourselves. There's also ski storage with a boot dryer, and free high quality Wi-Fi. Prices are reasonable. The location works especially well for winter activities. The Tuxer sport bus stops nearby every 15 -30 minutes and quickly takes you to the skiing areas at Hintertux, Eggalm, or Rastkogel-Penken. Across from the house are a cross-country ski track, an illuminated toboggan run, and several winter hiking trails. There's an easy, wide beginners' piste next to the house with the Hinteranger t-bar lift, and the weekly winter ski show “Fire and Snow” takes place here. Spar, restaurants, and other places are nearby too. Hinteranger is a perfect holiday spot, and we'd love to come back again and again.
