Hotel Jäger

The new jacuzzi and sauna setup was a highlight, especially the outdoor jacuzzi and top floor sauna with its lovely view. We also appreciated the ski room and the very friendly service. The food was great, so the full board option felt well worth it. During our 10 days at Hotel Jager Tux, the handy location made it easy for our group to drive or take the bus to the glacier for daily ski practice.

The location was great, and our room was spotless. It also had a bathtub, which ended up being my alternative to the spa. But I’d probably choose somewhere else next time. I’d booked this place for a spa weekend, mainly because it advertised 9 saunas and 2 pools, with both clothed and non-clothed options. During our 3 days there, none of the saunas or steam rooms in the “Family area” were switched on because, we were told, there were no children at the hotel. That left the rooftop spa, which wasn’t very warm, and the panoramic sauna, where you go naked. I didn’t want to use a naked sauna when clothing options were the whole reason I chose this hotel. It felt like false advertising, and there was no explanation that these facilities might not be available in the off-season or at certain times. The owners and hosts weren’t especially friendly, and we felt like an inconvenience. I’m not sure if that was a language issue or something else. Breakfast was good, though I missed having a gluten-free choice of bread, pastries, or cereal. I may be used to that being available in Italy. The room was immaculately cleaned, but that and the location were the only other positives.

We had a lovely room in the SPA building, and the facilities there were nice. The food was good too. Service was great, with all the staff friendly and attentive to guests.

The value for what you get is great, with breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner included. The room had awesome amenities, and there’s an indoor and outdoor spa, a place to sunbathe, and an area for table tennis. Everyone talks about the spa, but I have to point out those adorable furry balls!
