The price was fair, there was parking, and the bus ride to the cable car was only two or three stops. We asked to switch to another room in the same category for the view. Even though it was free and we were staying six nights, the host wouldn’t allow it. Otherwise, it’s a fair place. The Hintertux cable cars and slopes weren’t among the best I’ve seen.

We’ll definitely return. Mehlerhof has five roomy apartments almost at the foot of the Hintertux Glacier, and the Tipotsch family looked after us with real care and attention, even with our most unusual requests. Thanks so much for the hospitality.

We’ve stayed at the Mehlerhof in Madseit several times, in both summer and winter, and already can’t wait to come back to the Tux Valley. It’s quiet and surrounded by nature, with hiking paths and ski resorts close by. The balcony looks out over the mountains and the Hintertux Glacier ski area, and after a day outdoors the apartment is a comfortable place to come back to. The apartments are clean, well furnished, and have what you need for a relaxing stay. There’s a ski storage room in the house, and the bus stop for the nearby ski areas is a short distance away. The hosts are warm and helpful, so you feel welcome straight away. You can order bread for breakfast, and there’s a coffee machine in each apartment’s kitchen, with coffee capsules available to buy.
