Bichlhof

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were very friendly, and it's a nice location with lots of beautiful hikes starting from the house.

The last afternoon in the garden’s picnic and BBQ area was a lovely way to wrap up our stay. We came with family for the Stuibenfall trail run, and the apartment’s location worked perfectly for us. Once we arrived, the views and spacious, beautiful apartment really came into their own. We got four seasons in four days: sun when we arrived and left, with spectacular fog and snow in between. On our final evening, Umhausen lost power. We got a call to check that we were okay and were given candles, which was fantastic.

The brick fireplace was a real highlight, along with the amazing view. We stayed at the Hemerkogl with our two Ridgebacks and felt right at home. The place was cozy, fully equipped, and spotlessly clean. Bichlhof is a great base for all sorts of hikes. The snack bar right there was already closed, unfortunately, but there are plenty of good places to eat close by. We’d be happy to return.

At 1550 m, this place feels wonderfully removed from the crowded villages down in the valley, and the Alpine views are incredible. There’s a beautiful waterfall nearby and several walking routes too. The guesthouse has three apartments. I stayed downstairs; judging by the photos, the upstairs one might feel cozier. It was very, very clean, and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, with several pots and pans, plenty of plates and cutlery, tools for vegetables and such, an oven, and a dishwasher.
