I strongly do NOT recommend this place. I’ve been skiing in Austria for years and have never had a stay like this. The trouble began on the second day and kept getting worse. The single room was very cold, and there was no hot water in the shower. We reported it, and the host said she had turned up the heating and fixed the hot water. The water issue was addressed, but the room stayed around 17.5°C despite our complaints. When we raised it again, she came over and insisted that “17.5°C is almost 18°C, and 18°C is an acceptable temperature at night.” Later she returned with a man who didn’t introduce himself. He showed us an app with the temperature and yelled that it was our fault for airing the room for five minutes two hours earlier. That was shocking, since the house rules, which the host reminded us of daily, required us to air the rooms twice a day. Only after the person in the cold room got sick did they provide an electric heater. We have proof that it was 17.1°C at 6:00 AM, and after a full day of heating it had only reached 18°C by 8:00 PM. Before we arrived, the hosts said they would collect the tourist tax in cash on the first day. They never came for it or mentioned it again, so we assumed it was included in the price or would be collected at checkout. On Friday, the host messaged us about checking out the next day, without saying she would come that evening for the tax. She arrived at 6:30 PM after our long day of skiing, from 7:40 AM to 6:00 PM without lunch, and demanded cash immediately. We also asked why we were expected to vacuum the whole apartment and strip the beds when we’d already paid a €90 cleaning fee. She didn’t speak English and used her underage daughter to translate. The girl couldn’t explain things properly and started yelling, which made the argument worse. We were exhausted and had been dealing with problems throughout the stay, so I said in my native language, “God damn, I do not have energy to deal with this situation right now.” The hosts later used that to justify their aggressive behavior. I left, while my friend stayed and offered to find an ATM that evening or pay by bank transfer, since we hadn’t known payment would be collected a day earlier than expected. Both women agreed, and we thought it was settled. But shortly afterward, the daughter came back with the same aggressive man. He yelled, raised his hand, and moved toward me. I tried to shut the door to protect myself, but he forced it open and pushed me backward. He kept shouting and pointing at me, waving his other hand near my face and threatening to hit me. I backed into a wall, and my friend stepped between us to stop him. We called the police because he wouldn’t leave the apartment and continued threatening us. The daughter stood outside as if nothing had happened, then began crying as soon as she heard we’d called the police, saying she “hates these situations.” We assume this wasn’t the first time something like this had happened. The police told us they would arrest him if he harassed us again. We spent the whole night locked in our rooms, afraid the hosts might hurt us. After I posted my review, THE PLACE WAS REMOVED FROM GOOGLE MAPS, and a second apartment listing combines both apartments they own. Because of that, I strongly suspect the current reviews may not be genuine and could have been artificially boosted. Do not leave your mother, sister, girlfriend, wife, or daughter alone here!!! The male host has serious anger issues, and the owners are completely unprofessional. Stay safe!
