Landhaus Streklhof

The Wörthersee Plus Card came with our stay, with free public transport and lots of discounts on things to do around Wörthersee. We also liked both dinner and breakfast. The food was fresh and mostly delicious, though we felt it could use a little more punch, and I especially enjoyed the salad bar. Breakfast had what we needed, but I think the black coffee may have been instant. Please correct me if I’m wrong. At dinner you choose your favorites from a five-course menu at breakfast. Being vegetarian was no problem, though they may not be fully set up for vegans. We spent three nights at hotel streklhof, after unfortunately having to shorten our stay. The staff were friendly by email before we arrived. Our room was nicely designed, with a balcony facing the garden and the Alps. The bathroom was a good size and even had a little radio. A rain shower would have suited the spacious shower area, and a small shelf inside would have been useful. There was a mini fridge, but no coffee machine or kettle. At this price, I think a coffee machine should be standard. The spa was welcoming, and the outdoor pool was a good size, with a smaller indoor one too. There were plenty of loungers around.
