A few days in this house really lifted my Austria trip. It's kept to a very high standard and was spotless, even beyond what I'd expect from a five star hotel. The kitchen gear was excellent, especially the woodburner. The furniture felt warm and inviting, the beds were huge, and the shower pressure was impressive. There was a lovely view outside, with fresh air and beautiful spaces around the property. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, and seemed to spend his time making sure guests were comfortable and the property was cared for. He provided thoughtful extras and complimentary items throughout our stay. The bathroom had everything we needed, including several varieties of quality shower gel and shampoo. He even made us lovely mountain tea with honey, just because he was welcoming and enjoying our company. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, and parking was free. It was an extremely clean, well equipped, cozy place with a kind, welcoming owner who thought of everything we'd use.

The owner made us feel so welcome, and I’d happily stay here again on another trip to Austria. Everything was spotless and high quality, from the coffee machine and shower to the bathroom products. Such a lovely experience, thank you for the warm hospitality 🤍

The decor was attractive, but the room gets seriously hot at night because there’s no AC. I’d much rather the owner spend on air conditioning than Chanel scents, pillows, or decorative items we can’t use. Privacy was another issue. Since the owner lives right beside the guest rooms, he would appear in the morning or when we had someone visit, seemingly trying to see what was happening or start a conversation. It felt strange and made the stay uncomfortable. There was no privacy.

We could get to downtown Velden easily, and the highway was only about five minutes away. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Parking was on the side of the street. Recommended!

We felt like intruders the whole time and wouldn’t come back. When we arrived, the owner looked at us angrily while showing us an apartment, repeatedly saying he had given us the best rooms and conditions, as though we owed him something. Trying to make dinner was frustrating too. There was no cooking oil or oven, just an induction heater. The owner then charged us almost 40 Euros for a “very expensive cooking pot” because it was slightly burnt. Without oil or washing supplies, I couldn’t get the crusts off. The whole experience felt rude and unwelcoming.
