The apartments are older, but they've been kept in good, clean condition. We've stayed at AJO several times. One warning: take photos before and after, because we were accused of damaging things and leaving an excessive mess. We were lucky to have pictures that showed otherwise. The owner said the cleaning lady had mixed up photos from another apartment, but all we got was a quiet apology. The standard €50 cleaning charge is high next to competitors like Airbnb, which usually charge around €30, and it's easy to miss because it isn't part of the listed rate.

The apartment was clean, but it was on the ground floor and had no bars on the windows. There's no air circulation, and cooling is by fan. The neighborhood is dirty, and the cleaning fee of about €50 seems expensive.
