The location is excellent, and the price is among the lowest in the city, so I was very happy with the stay. The rooms are old-fashioned, but clean, spacious, and very warm. The staff are incredibly friendly, and there’s a small complimentary treat at breakfast each morning. There’s also a luggage room, and you can leave your things there after checkout until it’s time for your flight. A practical choice if you’re travelling rather than on vacation.

The room was dirty, with fingerprints all over the walls and dirty curtains. After our 12-hour journey, we checked in at 10pm and got a rude reception. They said breakfast was very early, at 07:00AM, and we had to leave before 8AM. We were expected to eat quickly because another group was coming later, and the waiter kept pushing us. Whenever he saw an empty plate, he refilled it as if it were rubbish. Short answer: no, this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Save yourself some money and find somewhere else. It’s not worth your time.

Breakfast was poor for €16. There wasn’t much choice, though the food I tried was fresh. The cold white LED lighting at the buffet made everything look unappetizing, and the coffee tasted so bad I couldn’t finish it. There’s a large construction site around the hotel right now, and at 7:00 I was woken by what sounded like a chainsaw. The hotel is also at a busy intersection, so street noise gets in, and the doors barely block sound from the hall. You can easily follow conversations as guests walk past. My room wasn’t clean at check-in. The trash was still there, there were food scraps on the bedside tables, and a used condom wrapper lay right beside the bed. I went straight to reception. They said they had no alternative that evening, at least that’s what they told me, but promised an upgrade for the next night. When I returned the following evening and asked for it, they said none was available. I went back to the same room and found the very same wrapper in the exact same place. This place is a joke. Its current 3.4-star rating is well deserved.
