Jil at reception is what makes the place memorable. She has the instincts of a real concierge, pointing out the best places to eat and shop, and even where to cross paths with the most handsome people in town. She makes the city feel accessible and almost intimate, as if she’s opening hidden doors. Hospitality can feel routine, but Jil lifts the standard for everyone and makes the hotel shine brighter. My stay was wonderful. The room was very comfortable, the restaurant meals were excellent, and the atmosphere felt warm and inviting.

Really disappointing food. The spareribs were old and reheated, the fried chicken was oily and served with mayo, and the steak was dry. The broccoli and everything else came in the same sauce. If they can’t cook, they shouldn’t serve food and should stick to drinks.

The courtyard is beautiful, and the interior is nice and funky. The food is delicious and the staff are super friendly. Whenever I’m in Vienna, I come here for a drink and something to eat.

I loved the courtyard layout, which makes the place feel open and calm, while the popular Filipino restaurant brings a bit of energy. Hotel am Brillantengrund is a former cloister in Neubau with a design-forward feel. The rooms are simple and stylish, the vegan-friendly breakfast is excellent, and the welcoming staff have great taste in music. If you enjoy beautiful spaces with some soul and city life woven in, this is the place.

As a local, I visit the restaurant, and the courtyard is so sweet. The staff are really friendly, and the Filipino food is full of flavor and extremely delicious. I’ll definitely come again.
