The location worked really well: it’s about 4 minutes northeast to the U4, or 6 minutes southwest past plenty of restaurants to tram D for the Ringstrasse. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with good window ventilation in hot weather, though opening them also meant very loud street noise around the clock. It’s apartment 8034 on the third floor. There’s a lift, but 15 stairs you can’t avoid. The front door key only worked if I pulled the handle firmly at the same time. Inside, there’s a large lounge-bedroom with a couch and coffee tables, a kitchen table with three chairs, and a TV. The second bedroom is separate. The kitchenette has basic utensils, a stove, microwave, capsule coffee maker, toaster, and kettle. The bathroom has a shower over a high-sided bath, and the curved base can be slippery. Reverse-cycle air conditioning is installed, but the listing doesn’t mention it because it isn’t used due to Austrian energy prices. The host was helpful when asked, but during our 8-day stay there was no offer to change the linen or top up the toilet paper.
