Appartment Lainz

The kids had a blast in the pool, and we enjoyed the large adjoining garden and (almost) private pool. The apartment stayed pleasantly cool even during a very warm week. The host family was accommodating and ready to help with any questions or requests. Getting around was easy even with three children. The public transport links are excellent: we took the S-Bahn straight to Meidling, then a short train ride into the mountains. Schönbrunn Palace is a few tram stops away, and the rest of the city is four tram stops away via the U-Bahn (subway). Parking is available on the property now, which is useful since long-term parking in Vienna is generally no longer allowed or can be extremely expensive for short stays. Hofer and Spar are just around the corner for groceries. We'd love to come back!

The hostess lives in the building and was very nice. Our rooms were spacious, clean, and pleasant, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We used the well maintained pool a few times. Schönbrunn Palace is only a 5-minute walk away, with shops and public transport nearby. Excellent value for money.

The landlords were very friendly, and there’s a tram stop just a 3-minute walk away. The old apartment was beautiful and clean, with a lovely pool and cozy garden. It gets very hot in summer, but the ventilation made it easy to sleep.

We mainly chose this nice house because it’s close to Scherbrunn Zoo. Free parking was available too.
