ARCOTEL Kaiserwasser Vienna

The restaurant is great, and being close to the Vienna Centre is really convenient. That's usually why I book Arcotel, since the quality doesn't match the price. The rooms are bare, apparently for sustainability, but with little to no amenities I don't see how it rates four stars. The WiFi worked maybe 16% of the time, and staff said it was bad, so that's just how it is. The bathroom is very dated and needs renovation. A really expensive, low-tier hotel, unfortunately.

The bed was comfy and the towels clean. The rooms are a little dated, with lots of patterns and an odd colour palette, and there are beehives outside the windows. Still, the hotel is great. Being able to use the sauna at 2 in the morning after a long day and flight is a bonus.

We had a lovely weekend here. The hotel was tidy, clean, and peaceful, and the breakfast was exceptionally good with plenty of variety. The staff were very friendly and kind. Highly recommended.

I came to Vienna for a professional conference and stayed at ARCOTEL because the conference recommended it. The experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel looks nice, but the staff's behavior was unacceptable. They were rude and unhelpful, and I felt uncomfortable throughout my stay. I'll never forget what happened in the lobby. I saw a table of snacks and thought it might be a small welcome setup for guests. I took one chip, and a staff member suddenly yelled that it was for a seminar. Even when I offered to pay, he kept shouting instead of speaking politely. It was humiliating and shocking to be treated so unprofessionally over something so small. Around midnight on October 7, at 00:03, we called reception for toilet paper. They told us to come downstairs to get it. When I asked if I really had to come down just for toilet paper, the staff member hung up on me. That rudeness is unacceptable at any hotel, especially one claiming to be four-star. Room service was poor, and the room had no toothbrush, slippers, lotion, bottled water, or fridge. These are basic necessities for a hotel in this category. I'll tell the conference organizers about the way I was treated. ARCOTEL needs to retrain its staff in basic hospitality and respect. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting decent service and professional behavior.
