The location is good and the price is cheap, but I wouldn't stay here again. I expected a place where you could live for a while, maybe cook and stay for weeks, but it felt more like a hostel and somewhere just to sleep. There are three rooms and only one has a window. The others might work in an emergency, but I wouldn't want to spend more than three days in them. The kitchen and bathroom have no windows either, so it is hard to tell day from night. They contacted me after I arrived to say I had to pay city taxes. Why weren't those included in the price, or at least mentioned beforehand?

It was fairly comfortable and okay overall. The small space can feel pretty creepy when you're there alone.

What stood out most was how friendly and professional the staff were. They were ready with useful city tips, and the care they showed made the stay feel welcoming. The shared spaces were pleasant and well arranged, and having a fully equipped kitchen was really handy. Our room at Hostel Elisabeth was spotless, modern and much more comfortable than I expected, with its own bathroom for extra privacy. The hostel is in a quiet area but has good connections to the main sights. We got to Wiener Stadthalle and central Vienna quickly, so getting around was easy. We'd happily come back next time we're in Vienna.

The hosts are thoughtful and kind, and the whole hostel feels warm and welcoming. It was very clean, the rooms were comfortable, and things stayed quiet. I definitely recommend it.
