Hotel Domizil

I was a bit unsure after reading mixed reviews, but I was happy with my stay. The older lady at reception was incredibly welcoming. Our room had the space, natural and artificial light, clean linen, clean shower and toilet, and working ventilation that I look for most. The furniture is dated, but I thought it gave the room some charm. It has seen better days and felt a little like staying at a grandparent's home. My main concerns were the sheer curtains, which didn't offer much privacy with the lights on at night, and the narrow shower, where water splashed everywhere because the glass divider was too short.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and their warm hospitality made my first trip to Vienna so wonderful. The hotel is in a peaceful area where I felt safe, yet right next to St Stephan cathedral and about a 12-minute walk to Mitt Wein. The room was spacious with high ceilings and traditional wooden furniture. Everything was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. It looks classic and traditional without feeling obsolete. 🥰

Dagmar, Theresa and Mehdi were always smiling and friendly, and the staff were wonderful. We had a great experience with the breakfast too. The room was clean, and the location was really convenient, right in the city center behind the Mozart building.

We got good value here, with spacious rooms, a good bathroom, clean surroundings and comfy beds. The location is fantastic, in central Vienna, just 200m from St Stephan’s Platz and close to lots of excellent restaurants. The front desk Lady, Nato, was especially helpful, courteous, friendly and always smiling.
