Eddie’s Design Apartments

The host was friendly, and the stay was fine. The rooms weren't necessarily the cleanest, but we didn't run into any hidden fees. I'd come back.

The location made it easy to get around: shops, bakeries, coffee places, international food stores and good pizza are all nearby, the metro is just steps away, and Mariahilfestrasse is five minutes off. The historic city centre is also fairly close if you like walking. Inside, Eddies design apartment feels like a mix of old Austrian architecture and modern design, with lots of space and a very clean feel. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a coffee machine, and the large bed was comfortable. We had a great three-night stay. Communication with the host was excellent, quick replies to every question and helpful tips about where to eat and drink around the city. I'd highly recommend it.

That rooftop terrace was a highlight. It was easy to get to, and I caught a sunrise with a beautiful view. The apartment was spacious and clean, with a well-equipped kitchen, and the host was pleasant to message on WhatsApp. The sofa-bed setup wasn't as advertised, though. I booked an apartment listed as having one bed and two sofa beds of variable size, but the living room sofa didn't convert into a proper bed with a mattress. The other sofa bed turned out to be a day bed in the main bedroom, so there was no privacy. The host should update the listing to avoid confusion. It's also about 15 minutes by Bolt or Uber to the touristy city centre, which I expected.

The rooftop view is spectacular and really makes Eddie´s Deluxe Apartment with Rooftop Terrace stand out. We stayed five nights and loved it. The apartment is bright, spacious, and nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed and a shower that had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. We hope to stay at Eddie´s again on our next trip to Vienna.
