The location made my Vienna visit so much better. The Danube embankment is right across the road, with gorgeous views and lovely walks both day and night. Inside, the place was very clean and warm, the beds were extremely comfortable with immaculate white sheets, and it was quiet. Even the other guests seemed to be trying their best to keep the noise down. Thanks, Freinest.

A great budget stay. The beds were very clean and comfortable, and I’d happily come back. The shared areas are pretty small, so bring earplugs if you can. There was a loud snorer one night. A lock is handy too. I barely noticed the little bit of road noise.

The kitchen was well equipped, and the lockers were roomy, though you’ll need to bring your own padlock. Entry uses a code provided when you arrive. My room felt hot and stuffy, and I could hear some traffic. A nice, simple hostel.

I booked at 7 pm and arrived to find I hadn’t received an entry code. I waited two hours with no update on how to get in, so I had to book an Airbnb to avoid sleeping outside. Find another hostel before you waste your money.

It felt like visiting a little home, and we enjoyed our stay. There are up to 10 beds across two separate rooms, and the kitchen is very well equipped. The road noise was the only annoying part, though it wasn’t enough to disturb my sleep. There’s a river nearby, Penny Market is close, and so is the subway station.
