Gally Apartments Vienna

We were there for New Year’s Eve, and Mr Gally had left champagne and two glasses in the room at no charge. I forgot to thank him at the time, so thank you! He was very kind and answered as soon as we called. The place is clean, warm even in December, and quiet day and night. It’s near the underground and trams, with a supermarket about 300-400 m away plus several other shops. There’s also a parking spot in a fenced yard with a lockable gate, and you can open or close it whenever you need. It costs 5 € a night, compared with the 10-20 € a night common at other Vienna locations, and felt very secure since you can see the yard from the rooms. I really recommend it for the quality and price.

Private parking is a real advantage in this part of town, and the neighborhood felt safe at night. Markets, fast food, and well-connected public transport are all close by. The city center is about a 30-minute walk, if you feel like walking. The apartment is in an old building, and the rooms have an old-fashioned style, but everything is well maintained and warm for Vienna’s cold winter. It had what we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. Wi-Fi was okay. The downside was the lack of toiletries such as soap and shampoo. There were a few clean towels, enough for two people. The owner gave us a free Vienna tourist map with attractions and public transport routes.

I enjoyed staying here. Nice place, and the prices are good.

Good value, with room service. Clean and cozy, though there are lots of stairs.
