We stayed there several years ago, so I can’t say what it’s like today, though the photos and reviews seem unchanged. Back then, the place gave me the impression of the kind of seedy hotel where runaway girls in old movies spend their last night before something awful happens. We kept our coats on the bed so we wouldn’t have to touch anything. We avoided the bathroom completely and didn’t even go inside.

The location is great, though the place could use an update. It was very clean. The No. 71 tram is a couple of minutes away on foot and gets to the city center in about 10 minutes. It’s in Belvedere, and Rennweg station, with the S7 to the airport, is a 10-minute walk.

On my first visit to Vienna, I stayed here and thought it was gorgeous. The Christmas decorations were stunning, the room was clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The location worked perfectly for me. My only little gripe was having just one pillow, but that really wasn’t worth making a fuss over. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We found the location really handy: the tram into the city center is just 100 meters away, the closest subway station is a four-minute walk, and Belvedere Palace and the Botanical Garden are about 13 minutes on foot. Staff were polite and friendly, and the rooms were clean and well looked after. Breakfast was a buffet with a decent range. A good pick for a mid-range budget trip.

The room was a little dusty, and the bathroom could use a proper deep clean. Still, I’d recommend the hotel for its great location and friendly price. Breakfast was included, standard and perfectly fine, and the location really is amazing.
