Motel One Wien-Westbahnhof

The room was clean, modern and comfortable, including the bed and bath. I could get work done there and had a good rest. I was offered the chance to choose a higher floor at check-in, which was kind since I wanted a view. Staff were quick, professional, welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was good, though with lots of guests, arriving later may mean looking for a free table. The food was good, but the choice was limited, though sufficient. The lobby bar has some good drinks if you're in the mood. The hotel is near the main transport options and convenient for walking to several interesting places. I stayed one night on a business trip, and it's a good option if you're coming to Vienna by train or bus.

Everything was decorated for Christmas, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily, with towels replaced, and were quiet, with great beds. The location is top tier, right outside the metro, with an adjacent mall that has everything. The only downside was no little fridge. It was good value for money, apart from the breakfast, which we didn't have.

The location was the only good part of this stay. The room smelled strongly of urine, there was hair everywhere, and the bathroom clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. Mold was visible on the tiles, which is unacceptable. It seemed like the hotel chose black tiles hoping they'd hide the dirt, but they didn't. Breakfast was extremely basic and not worth paying extra for. Save your money and find a decent quality meal nearby. For the price paid, this stay was very disappointing and didn't meet expectations.

Service at the desk was great, and the location superb, close to all kinds of public transport. The rooms were very small and had no desk to work at, but they were nice and clean.
