Jaz in the City Vienna

The rooms are roomy and comfortable for two, and the bed, pillows and linens were exceptionally comfortable. I also liked the fresh, youthful feel of the modern, interesting design. Breakfast was excellent value at €19 per person when booked a day ahead. The hotel is in a quiet, peaceful area. A few practical things could be better: the room heating is weak, the lifts are slow, and there’s no room phone to call reception. Sauna bathrobes have to be requested instead of being provided, and daily cleaning isn’t automatic, so you need to ask for it. By the end of the day, the sauna area was cluttered with used towels and dirty glasses.

We really appreciated how professional the receptionists were. They responded quickly and were always ready to help with anything. The rooms were clean and comfortable, if a little dim, and the hotel was really nice. Thanks for a pleasant stay, we’d definitely come back.

We really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were spacious, bright and cozy, and having a vinyl player added to the comfortable atmosphere. The staff were polite and pleasant. It’s a dog-friendly hotel.

The location worked brilliantly for us, with most of the things we came to see within walking distance. The Jaz has a lively millennial and Gen Z feel, with a modern building, playful music icons and modern-vintage decor. The minimalist room was well equipped, though I found the many light switches confusing, and the exterior blinds opened and closed on their own. There was no lotion in the room or fan in the toilet. The bed was very comfortable, with just a fitted sheet and duvet. Housekeeping is by request. Service from the waitstaff was uneven from day to day. My worst moment was at 6:30 in the morning, when I helped myself to coffee and got yelled at that breakfast didn’t start until 7. I’d already started my coffee and said so, and the person shouted, “Take it!” twice. On Saturday evening we went to the 7th floor, but were told we couldn’t go in because there was a private event.
