Hotel Lucia

The air conditioning worked well, but that was the only real plus. The bathroom was unbelievably tiny, probably the smallest we've come across, and the room had no kettle or mini fridge. Toiletries were just a small soap and shower gel. At check-in, they wanted a €200 security deposit for only two nights, which seemed excessive for such modest facilities. The location was about average, and for the price the whole experience was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was kept clean, but it looked much older than the photos. Apparently some floors haven't been renovated. We couldn't lock the door from the inside for extra safety, as you'd normally expect in a hotel, and the old faucet was very hard to turn on. The city center is about 15 minutes away by metro, a few stops. The area felt pretty sketchy around 9 or 10 pm, so it's not the best.

The food and service were absolutely amazing, but the rooms look nothing like the photos. They're big and empty, with no colour, and make you feel like you're sitting in a cardboard box.

The staff were extremely unempathetic, rude, and not helpful at all. Edit: We never emailed you. We called once and then contacted booking. Less than 24 hours after making the reservation, we asked whether we could move it one week later. We would have left a good review and appreciated helpful service. Instead, the person on the phone was very rude, unfriendly, and unwilling to help. We weren't threatening you with a bad review, we said we'd share what happened, and we did. We ignored the other bad reviews and booked anyway. Based on the person's arrogant behaviour on the phone and the way you lied in your reply, we don't recommend this hotel. I used to work in a hotel, and I know it's possible to change dates for a booking made through booking. It comes down to whether you appreciate your customers and are willing to help when they've booked the wrong date.
