Pension Vera

Pension Vera was lovely. The people who run it are so welcoming and warm, they made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and very clean. We could walk to the sights, then come back to a quiet place for a good night’s sleep. Great place to stay in Vienna, highly recommend.

We had a clean, roomy space for three, and the location worked well too. Public transport nearby made it easy to get around, and there are supermarkets close by.

I’ve been trying to get an invoice for nearly four months. I contacted the owners by email, phone, and through Booking support. They either didn’t reply, said it wasn’t their responsibility and I didn’t understand how Booking reservations work, or told me not to call and let them enjoy their day off because it was a national holiday in Austria. They may have forgotten they work in hospitality with people from other countries. I almost never leave reviews, and I don’t usually keep pressing people in hospitality because I know it’s exhausting work. But these owners were unbelievably unprofessional and rude. If you might need to reschedule or need an invoice or official proof of payment, avoid this place. I’d like to spare someone else the hassle of chasing an invoice for months and being treated like an idiot.

A real little gem, tucked away somewhere incredibly quiet. There’s free coffee and tea, and the bathroom has white marble.
