During our three days, the room was never cleaned, the bed wasn't made, and the towels weren't changed. It seems you need to ask reception if you want housekeeping. The towels in our room looked heavily used, and some had stains that seemed hard to remove. Bathroom supplies were limited to shower gel and liquid hand soap, with no shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, or slippers. The room felt dated, from the old furniture and worn carpet to the noticeable smell of old furniture. The bathroom fixtures also seemed quite old. It looked as if the renovation and furnishings hadn't been updated in many years. The hotel is about a 40-minute walk from the city center, or around 20 minutes by bus, with a stop relatively close by. That could be convenient if you use public transport. It may suit travelers looking for a more budget-friendly place who aren't expecting modern renovations or full hotel service.

I had Room 306, a single room with a fantastic balcony, and couldn't hear the neighbors at all. Everything was clean, the Wi-Fi connection was strong and reliable, and the receptionist was friendly and professional. For the price, the Art Hotel Vienna is an excellent option. It's a 15-minute walk to the metro, then about a 10-minute ride to Karlsplatz. I'd recommend it.

The first impression wasn't great when we put our luggage in a room while waiting to check in. Things got better after that. For the price, both the rooms and breakfast are very good, and the service is good too.

Apartment 1 was really spacious and nicely furnished. The staff were polite and helpful, and breakfast was great. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The room works if all you need is somewhere to sleep, and for such a cheap Vienna booking, the value is about what I expected. It's clean, quiet on the third floor, warm in winter, and the bed is comfortable. Getting to the center is easy too. Still, there were plenty of issues. The shower glass is broken, the plugs are far from the bed so a 3m charging cable would help, and the tiny “kitchen” corner has a kettle but no useful place to boil water, so I had to use the bathroom. The old flat-screen TV has no internet connection. They provide cups and sugar, but no coffee or tea bags. The elevator works, though it feels a bit dodgy, and the interior is very dated. Edit: I wouldn't trust the water here. When I tried to fill the bath, it turned brown. Then I shone a light under a glass of water and saw lots of things floating in it.
