The location was good, and the bathroom and little kitchen had been updated. The rest of the stay was rough. On Dec 10, 25, we spent about 20 minutes outside in the rain because the entry key wasn't available, until another tenant let us in. The elevator looked out of order, was dark, and had tape over its call button. We then had two more doors to get through: we weren't given the code for the second, and the code for the third was wrong. We had been told our unit was 01, but it turned out to be 02. Once inside, we found silverfish in the bathroom and a smoke smell. There was a cigarette burn in the master bedroom blanket, and the living room futon was so hard an adult couldn't sleep on it. The place also needs paint and plaster repairs.

The apartment has character and sits in a good spot, so the night there wasn't a bad experience. Still, some things need attention: a few lights were broken and some furniture was worn. The toilet wouldn't flush paper, which could be more troublesome on a longer stay. I was only there for one night while visiting Vienna, and the place could use a bit of care.

There was plenty of room for our group, with four bedrooms and comfortable mattresses. But a lot of things were disappointing: the sofa back and a dining table leg were broken, the windows were broken and some doors were cracked, and the microwave didn't work. There was just one toilet for eight people.

The staff were friendly, relaxed, and efficient, and the flat was nice. It's within walking distance of the city centre and the main museums, too. I'd most likely try to book again on a future Vienna trip. I'd have given it five stars if smoking had been allowed at least on the balcony.

The bed was fine, though the towels were very old and the apartment felt average. The host was friendly, and the location was great, with public parking easy to reach.
