The owners are really friendly, and the simple rooms are clean. A cozy little guesthouse and a pleasant place to stay.

Our four-year-old daughter was sad to leave and soon asked when we could return. She quickly grew fond of the owners, especially the owner who was watering plants one morning. She followed him around, chattering and curious about everything, and though she could be a little pushy, he welcomed her interest. He said it was lovely to see children so curious, as that’s rare these days. We’re grateful for how warmly and kindly he treated her. Breakfast was first-class, with a varied selection that was promptly replenished whenever something ran low. They also took our daughter’s wishes into account. She needed a little time to get used to the unfamiliar surroundings, but in the end she enjoyed the food and ate enthusiastically. We stayed at Popotnik Guesthouse from August 10th to 11th, 2024, on our way to Cavallino, and felt very comfortable there. The whole guesthouse was well maintained and made a lovely base for a holiday in Villach. We arrived late after getting caught in numerous traffic jams, but were welcomed warmly and they waited for us patiently. Many thanks to Pension Popotnik for a wonderful stay. We’d love to come back.
