We had a really nice experience and would definitely come back. We stayed four nights in the Standar Family Room with our two kids, and reception welcomed us warmly. The staff were kind, helpful, and supportive. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The room had a lovely lake view through the large windows and balcony. The kids liked having their own private area, and they received some nice gifts for drawing and passing the time. The bathroom was very large and had a bathtub, with the toilet in a separate room, which is a good arrangement. But that toilet room is tiny and has no water for handwashing, so you have to go back to the bathroom. That’s annoying. We enjoyed dinners at our reserved table, with an amazing view and nice decor. The menu was varied, as were the salad and cheese buffets, and there was always something for everybody. The setting was cosy and joyful, the food delicious, and the staff were helpful about our not having alcohol or pork. They always use top quality products. Breakfast was also very good, with great products, an egg menu, cheese, other options, honey, and butter. There was plenty of good food and enough space and time for everyone. We really enjoyed the pool area, especially the infinity pool and the space around it to rest. I couldn’t use the sauna area because, if I understood correctly, it’s a nude area. The only things that bothered me were the small toilets and the WiFi. I’d love to try staying in summer, when there will be lots going on around the lake.

The food was a highlight, from the honeycomb, jam, cheeses and teas to the chef's omelettes, salads and simple but filling five-course meals. There's plenty to do around Lake Faak, including sailing, biking and paddle boarding, plus indoor and outdoor infinity pools and exercise equipment tucked below a room with waterbeds. The privately owned place is thoughtfully set up for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors, and even makes it easy to move dining inside when the weather turns bad. No motorbikes or boats are allowed.
