The apartment’s location had its merits, but a few things made the stay less than ideal. We couldn’t get hold of the woman managing the apartment when it was time to check out. I’d messaged her the night before, but we still left an hour later than planned, which disrupted our travel plans. We also hadn’t been told during booking that payment had to be made in cash at checkout, so we had to scramble to get the money on our departure morning. The room smelled strongly of smoke when we arrived. It seemed the owners had tried to cover it with some sort of perfume, but the smell was still unpleasant and made things uncomfortable for us as non-smokers. The kitchen was adequate, though the stovetop beside the microwave was awkward to keep clean while cooking. There was no extractor fan, so cooking smells spread through the room and made it harder to relax in the living area.
