We booked through booking.com and the hotel confirmed our reservation. Then, two days before the trip, booking.com called to say the hotel would cancel. We didn't agree, but they cancelled it anyway, and the booking.com representative spoke rudely to us. Our reservation was non-refundable for us, yet apparently the hotel could simply get out of it without consequences. We suspect someone booked for a week and we were kicked out. Our holiday plans were ruined. Thank you, Mittermooshof! Maybe it's better we found out in advance, so we wouldn't be disappointed by the way things are handled there.

My favorite part was the room with a fridge full of beer. And mice got to visit an old, distant cousin.

The owners are really, really sweet, caring, and funny. It's a simple, clean, lovely place for a nice holiday in Austria.

We've already been here twice and are coming back for a third time, definitely not the last. The apartments are gorgeous and spotless, and Marie and Peter are warm, easy-going hosts. There's a fantastic heated pool, and the green surroundings make a great base for biking and hiking.

Mittermooshof is a dream spot, with beautifully cared-for grounds and an incredibly friendly family. I visited in person but didn't stay overnight. Several guests I spoke with return regularly and rave about it. Cleanliness, warmth, and quality clearly matter here. If you want peace, nature, and a family atmosphere, it's a beautiful place with heart!
