The room was spacious and really comfortable, and housekeeping generally did a good job. The location is handy, especially with a car, and there are a few decent restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was okay, though food was slow to be replenished and tables sometimes took a while to clear. The value felt only fair; I’d give it 3.5 stars if half-stars were an option. Check-in got off to an odd start when the receptionist showed me another person’s personal details under the same surname. They had to clear the screen and enter everything manually. Reception staff were usually helpful, though some were more engaged and proactive than others. For a four-star hotel, it seemed strange that there was no restaurant for dinner, and the room had no tea or coffee-making facilities. There was no mini-fridge either, though that wouldn’t bother me in winter. We had only a handful of hangers for two guests on an 11-night stay, and none were available even when we asked. The bathroom floors were heated. There were some strange sounds now and then, but they weren’t too disturbing.

The building is beautiful, with comfortable, modern decor, and the location is excellent. The staff were warm and friendly, especially the receptionist. There seemed to be too few staff at the time, so room cleaning was slow. They also brought me still water when I’d ordered sparkling. I would’ve preferred the other room, which had a great view and much more privacy. People could see into mine from the hallway. Some things felt short of what I’d expect from a four-star hotel: no robe, slippery surfaces, no mini-fridge or coffee maker, and no sauna or pool. Is there really no dinner restaurant?

The parking was a real help, with spaces outside as well as an underground garage. Check-in was quick and easy using the code the hotel sent us. DION Hotel Wattens is right across from the Swarovski museum and factory, which made the location ideal. Everything was very clean, and the staff were polite and ready to help. Breakfast was tasty and had plenty of variety. My stay exceeded every expectation, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place in Wattens.

Breakfast was plentiful, with plenty of variety, and the reception team deserves a special mention for being helpful, friendly, and professional. The hotel feels modern, elegant, and well equipped. Our room was clean and spacious, and there’s free parking both outside and indoors. It’s directly across from the Swarovski Museum, and discounted admission tickets are available. The one small downside was having no mini-fridge in the room.
