We had a lovely three days skiing at Fanningberg with our two children, and the mountain stream was a great spot to cool off. Pension Gruber was clean, quiet, and a wonderful place to relax, with super friendly people. We also really enjoyed the delicious food and the lovely sauna. Thanks so much, Theresa and Michael! Theresa and Michael have carried on Pension Gruber for three generations, and their warm hospitality was clear as soon as we arrived. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished, and the panoramic sauna looks out at the mountains. We decided on the spur of the moment to have dinner there on our second day, and were so glad we did. Theresa cooks it fresh each day, and we think the optional dinner is a must. We came across the guesthouse by chance, and it turned out to be incredibly lucky. Thank you for such a lovely stay. We felt very comfortable and will definitely return!

The rooms were clean, and having no TV was a wonderfully relaxing change. The property feels like a little paradise where everyone can find their own spot. The food was absolutely delicious, worthy of a Michelin star or several. The whole Gruber team was fantastic: caring, helpful, and so welcoming. They greeted us with a lovely letter, and that friendliness continued all through our stay. Many thanks for the relaxing, rejuvenating days 😘

After a full day of activities, relaxing in the sauna was lovely. The Gruber team are friendly and helpful, and the food is worthy of a Michelin star. We’ll definitely come back!

I come here twice a year for a three-day yoga and meditation retreat. It’s a special place with lovely people. The owner cooks for us herself, which is always such a nice way to finish the day. Maybe I’ll head to the sauna afterwards too.
