Maria and her husband are very welcoming, and the place has everything you need. Dinner might be the one exception, but there are lots of places nearby and pizza can be delivered. The ski bus stop is just five minutes away, with two stops to the big ski lift (110). From there, I explored almost all the pistes in the area. The ski shop behind the lift is family-owned, with good prices and quality, and free overnight ski lockers. The sauna at Freihof after skiing was definitely worth it!

I've stayed here twice, and what I love is that this is a real bauernhof, with cows and a nice wooden stable. If you listen carefully, you can hear the cows when you get back from skiing or wake up in the quiet of this beautiful place. The farmhouse is outside Westendorf village, so drunken people won't disturb you. Maria and Peter are very kind owners. Maybe they'll remember me if they read this, Peter from the Netherlands.

The family atmosphere was what we liked most. We spent a week skiing and found a room with a lovely mountain view, a good breakfast, and a small sauna we used nearly every day. The ski bus stop is 200 meters away, while the lift and gondola are about 900 meters away. Parking right at the farm made arriving and leaving easy.

The games room has plenty of equipment, though some of it was in poor shape and the darts set was missing pieces. The TV is on the small side too. Those were minor issues during a really enjoyable ski trip for the two of us. We liked the sauna, and the ski cellar was easy to get to. Breakfast had a very good amount and variety, and was nicely presented. The Wi-Fi was fast and reached well. We can recommend the Freihof with a clear conscience.
