Hotel Post

We booked an apartment across the road this year, but had stayed at the hotel before and came back to eat and drink. The food was lovely, and the atmosphere was great. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It’s right in the village centre, just below the slopes.

We keep coming back each year, and have done so for 13 years now. It’s family run and always feels warm and welcoming.

The centre of this small village might suit some, but it wasn’t a place where I could relax. Loud music and noise came from the bar/restaurant opposite until 2am, with drunk people shouting. Other guests complained too, but the owner said, “we are in the centre of a lively village, it’s to be expected”. After only a few hours’ sleep, I found the breakfast room full of tables with dirty dishes and no staff tidying up or keeping an eye on things. At 9am the buffet was pretty much empty. I was still charged €90 for my stay. An absolute shambles. Avoid.

I wanted to mention how kind Sabine was to my family. On my third day skiing I had an accident and spent the rest of the week in hospital. My skis had been left at a lift by ski patrol, and Sabine helped my husband find them. She spent time translating over the phone, and even removed the cost of my meals from the bill. She also offered to help with anything else, and meant it. Thank you so much, Sabine. We appreciated your kindness very much. The hotel’s location near the ski lift, its cleanliness and its great food are all just as other reviews say.
