A lovely location, and the place was clean with friendly people.

We loved the spacious, clean apartment, its wonderful view and the friendly owners. It’s in a cosy spot above the Shetland pony farm. The kitchen has espresso pods and other amenities. There’s no bread service. The owner explained the reason clearly, and it made sense. Parking is outside and uncovered. In winter, you can ski in and out across the meadows, but that route is for advanced winter sports enthusiasts. You can also walk 500 meters down the road to the slopes. There’s not much else nearby, so you’ll need to drive or take a taxi to the shops. If driving, bring good winter tires and, when it’s snowed, good snow chains. The road crosses the slopes twice. It’s narrow, but fun to drive. There’s equipment storage for winter sports and a heated place for boots. My only small complaint is that the sofa bed is very hard to sleep on. A topper would be nice if someone’s going to use it.

The large balcony had an unforgettable view, and the apartment itself was very nice. We were there for three nights with my son, and by chance met both the caretaker and owner. They were extremely nice and friendly. The place was super clean, and it had everything we needed for cooking and baking, though we only used the coffee machine. With snow, you can drive right up to the apartment. Because of the warm weather during our visit, we had to walk about 200 meters.

We felt at home at Igelhof from the first minute. The apartment was spotless, thoughtfully furnished and fully equipped, so it was easy to settle in and relax. Our hosts were warm and made sure we had everything we needed. They also gave us useful tips for excursions and activities. The setting is quiet and idyllic, with breathtaking mountain views. Hiking and biking trails start right outside, and there are plenty of ways to explore the snowy landscape in winter. It’s a real paradise for nature lovers. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend Igelhof!
