Pension Casa Topolino

The room was on the ground floor, facing the street, and it was stuffy unless we kept the window open in warm weather. The outside blind was broken, so with the window open we heard every car and passerby. The magnetic door lock didn’t work either, meaning anyone could enter the room at any time. Even if this was an exceptional situation and you gave me another room, I should have been told and perhaps given a lower price. There were some positives: the room was spacious, the bedding was clean, and breakfast in a pleasant room was nearly okay. But the yogurt was a week past its expiry date, and there was a cigarette smell. The ventilation grilles gave a poor impression of hygiene. The towels looked at least 10 years old, and the bathroom was as shown in the picture. On top of that, the sewage smell was unpleasant, and sitting on the toilet meant my feet could be in the shower tray. This was definitely my first and last stay. For the same price, you can find a much higher standard in this city.

For what it cost, I got more than I expected. The rooms were clean, breakfast tasted good, and there was air conditioning in a quiet setting. Guests could also use a kitchen and washing machine. Money well spent.

A handy place to stay. It was clean, and checking in or out was easy at any time of day.

A really nice place, with a clean room, good food and a very polite owner.
