Almdorf Wildschönau

I wouldn't recommend this place, especially for a winter holiday. There's nowhere to store skis, and no ski boot dryer. You can't adjust the temperature in the cottages yourself because it's all run by a central computer, and there was no way to dry clothes. The ski bus stop is a long way off. The reception is a small bar that constantly reeks of cigarette smoke. The manager and his wife smoke heavily, and even a minute at reception left you smelling of it. Unfortunately, neither speaks English, and they didn't seem very sympathetic or willing to help. The rooms have the basics, but need refurbishment, especially the old beds, which creak a lot. The parking areas and sidewalks weren't maintained: they were either completely icy or covered in water and huge puddles.
