We’ve been coming here for over 40 years, and the family-friendly Gästehaus Lackner in Wildschönau (Oberau) is still simply superb. It’s a beautiful high valley, with great hiking trails and excellent food. 👍❤️

A fantastic spot to relax or use as work quarters. It’s a really nice two-story house, and each floor works as its own apartment.

The beds are really comfortable, and the rooms are neat and clean, though a bit dated. The owner was super friendly, breakfast was great, and it’s a lovely place to stay. The Ski Juwel ski area is close by, with a ski bus 300m away.

The breakfast is lovingly laid out and tastes very good, served in a cozy breakfast room. This is a well-run guesthouse with modernly furnished rooms, and the host family is very friendly.

There are so many different excursion options, and breakfast is delicious. The family-run feel makes a holiday at Pension Lackner wonderfully relaxing. It’s a place I’d recommend any time of year.
