Niederau’s centre is close, but the apartments are tucked away from the noise. They’re clean, modern, and well looked after, and worked really well for self-catering. There are a couple of supermarkets within walking distance, plus bars and restaurants where the prices are reasonable if you fancy eating out.

The ski room’s boot dryers were a great touch, and the basement has a pretty good Finnish-style public sauna. Some apartments also have their own infrared sauna. The apartments are well equipped for a ski holiday, with good kitchens and bathrooms, a dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine, and even a few dishwasher capsules. We only missed a handful of little things like soap and salt. The TV has no music channels. That’s about it for complaints.
